What is recorded here

Located on a NE-SW ridge and at the SW end of Carrick-on-Bannow village. Three granite penal-style crosses are built into the road bank at the S angle of a cross-roads. This cross (H 0.77m; Wth of arms 0.44m; T 0.11m), on the right as viewed, has a cross inscribed in the head, but any other inscription is illegible. The stem is cracked across below the crux, and the head expands in width above the crux. It is thought to have been moved from the graveyard of Carrick church site (WX045-036006-) c. 300m to the SW.
