Enclosure in Carns is an enclosure in Carns, County Roscommon, Ireland. It sits on a SE-facing slope at the E end of the Carnfree ridge. A rectangular area measuring 42.3m E-W and 29.5m N-S contains the church and priest's house. Earthen banks 2m wide and 0.3-0.4m high define the boundary.
On a SE-facing slope at the E end of the Carnfree ridge. The church (RO028-075005-) and priest's house (RO028-075001-) are within a rectangular enclosure (int. dims. 42.3m E-W; 29.5m N-S) defined by earthen banks (Wth 2m; H 0.3-0.4m), which may have served as a graveyard. Burials were found inside and outside the church (RO028-075001-) and associated structure (RO028-075005-). Enclosure (RO028-075006-) is attached to the N.
