What is recorded here
Half-hidden in rough pasture on uneven Clare ground, the oval enclosure still holds its shape beneath grass and memory. Eighty metres away a wedge tomb waits like a buried hand reaching toward it. Together they suggest a place where people marked time, death and ownership before any road or name arrived.
In an upland area of uneven semi-karst land in rough pasture and within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL010-064001-). An oval enclosure (c. 13m NE-SW; c. 9m NW-SE) defined by a partially grassed-over wall visible on OSi MapGenie 2013-2018 orthophotography and noted by Conn Herriott. A wedge tomb (CL010-028----) lies c. 80m to the ENE.
