Fulacht fia in Capnagower

Situated c. 20m S of another fulacht fia (MA085-053----) on the southern bank of the stream. A U-shaped fulacht fia comprising two contiguous, oblong grassy mounds (NNW– SSE 11.5m, ENE–WSW 12.2m, H 1m max. on the eastern side). The U opens to NW, towards the stream. The north-eastern arm consists of a large grassy mound with some burnt stone exposed towards its flat summit at north-western end. Just beyond its north-western limits is a small oval mound of similar character, perhaps representing a subsidiary dump of stone, although no stone is visible. The SW arm has a lower and flatter profile. As with the neighbouring fulacht fia (MA085-053----), there is a saddle-like depression between the mounds at SE that fades out on the outer (upslope) edge of the fulacht fia.
