What is recorded here

Cairn stands in rough pasture on the ridge between Carrignabinnia and Slievecushnabinnia, marking the boundary between Lyre and Carrigeen Mountain. Two other boundary cairns sit forty and one hundred twenty metres away, forming a quiet line across the land. The mound has vanished from modern satellite images, yet it still belongs to the ridge. People may have walked past it for generations, reading the shape of the townlands in stones that no longer show.

In rough pasture, on the ridge between Carrignabinnia and Slievecushnabinnia, on the townland boundaries between Lyre and Carrigeen Mountain. Boundary cairns (LI050-025001-/-026----) lie 40m to the W and 120m to the E, respectively. Not marked on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Annotated ‘Mound’ on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map.
