What is recorded here

Gallaunmore stands 4.2 metres tall above the Trabeg Estuary, a tapering pillar of stone that has watched the Dingle coast since before recorded memory. Nearby, a second stone once shared that slope overlooking Castlemaine Harbour, but human hands or time erased its trace, leaving the first to carry both their silence. The pair may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a meeting place for people whose names never reached us. What remains is not loss but invitation: to stand beside the stone, imagine the conversation it witnessed, and accept that some truths arrive only through presence.

A pair of standing stones was shown untitled on the 1st edition of the OS map, on a gentle slope overlooking Castlemaine Harbour. No visible trace survives. The above description is derived from J.
