What is recorded here

Indicated is a collapsed stone ringfort in County Galway, its ghostly outline still visible beneath grass and forgotten ownership. The cashel stretches forty metres east-west inside the old Caherhugh Demesne, marked by a broken drystone wall and a low internal bank. Modern gaps cut through its northern and eastern edges, yet the western and south-eastern sections preserve enough shape to suggest a inhabited defensive or domestic enclosure rather than a mere boundary.

In level grassland within the former Caherhugh Demesne. Poorly preserved overgrown subcircular cashel (NE-SW c. 40m, NW-SE c. 35m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall best preserved at ESE and W. A low grassed-over stony bank (L c. 10m), running NE-SW, is visible within the interior. Gaps at N and E appear modern.
