Caherbeg is a ruined stone ring in Galway farmland, its wall collapsed and half buried under a modern field boundary. Redington claimed internal rooms in 1916, but dense growth hid them from later viewers, leaving the true layout forgotten. The fairies may have taken the rooms when the stones fell, keeping what human eyes can no longer find.

In level farmland. Poorly preserved subcircular cashel (diam. c. 27m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall, which is overlain from W to N by a field boundary. Redington (1916a, 52) refers to internal divisions within the interior but due to dense overgrowth they were not discernible.
