Burnt mound in Crushyriree

In tillage, on a break of a NE-facing slope. A spread (12m E-W; 8m N-S) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. According to local information, the spring well and the small stream indicated on the 1935 OS 6-inch map to the N of the spread, were drained in the 1960s.
