What is recorded here

Indicated is a ruined stone ringfort on a Galway ridge, its subrectangular shape stretched fifty-three metres through level grassland. A collapsed drystone wall still marks the boundary beneath a later field wall, suggesting people lived there before forgetting the name. The fort may have watched the plain, stored grain or hidden families during storm and danger.
