What is recorded here

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Bunnacranagh is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Bunnacranagh, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a gentle south-facing pasture slope where an earthen bank and scarp surround a raised oval area. A disused quarry has eroded the southern scarp, numerous gaps break the bank, and an external fosse runs beside a field boundary.
In pasture, on a gentle S-facing slope. A raised oval area (30m N-S; 26.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 2m; int. H 0.4m) SW-N and by a scarp (H 1m) N-SSE and SSW-SW. A disused quarry has eroded the scarp at S. There are numerous gaps in the bank. An external fosse (Wth 4.6m; D 0.5m), evident SW-ENE, is skirted by a field boundary SW-NNE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
