Coolflugh held a flat christening stone with a shallow hollow, watched by four small boulders and used in local story for curing warts. Fahy excavated the place in 1956, then the Lee Valley waters took it. The stone reappeared in the grounds of Cloghroe National School, stripped of its setting but still carrying the shape of prayer, childhood and medical hope.

Originally located on W side of enclosure, said to be site of Inishleena Abbey (CO072-044001-). Site excavated by Fahy in 1956 prior to flooding by Lee Valley Hydro-electric Scheme (Fahy 1957b, 65-76). Before excavation bullaun stone was 'supported by 4 small boulders' (ibid., 66). Removed before flooding and now in grounds of Cloghroe National School. Flat subrectangular stone (H 0.14m; 0.9m x 0.82m) with a roughly circular hollow (0.36m x 0.33m; D 0.08m) near centre. According to Hartnett (1939, 233), locally known as 'the christening stone' and was 'effective for the curing of warts'. Likely dating to the early medieval period, the bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purposes, possibly as a holy water font associated with the nearby monastic site of Inishleena Abbey. Such stones are often linked to Christian or pre-Christian sacred traditions.
