What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned to myth. Its name sounds like a pointer, as if the land still marks the place for those who know how to look. The clay may have held a family, a hermit or a forgotten child before the fairies took it back.
