This stone commemorative plaque records: Will Yo Come O' Sunday Morning On Sunday 6th September 1896 10,000 Boltonians marched by this spot to reclaim an ancient right of way over Winter Hill. The path is now dedicated as a public right of way for the enjoyment of all. Recorded plaque organisation: Bolton Council.
