Indicated is a rectangular cashel in County Clare, Ireland, with a rebuilt wall and a lintelled hut beside it. It sits in high pasture marked on the 1916 OS map and listed among Bowmer’s 66 rectilinear cashels. The Burren still gives it shape, even when memory thins.

In a slight hollow on high elevated pasture, within a mulitperiod field system (CL005-104001-). Listed as a ‘Rectangular enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). Indicated on the 1916 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A poorly surviving and largely rebuilt, roughly rectangular, cashel (34m N-S; 33m E-W) defined by an externally faced wall (Wth 0.4-0.6m; H 0.2-6m). A hut site (CL005-106001-) with a lintelled roof is built onto the exterior near the W end of the N wall. A later wall is built on most of the cashel perimeter. Field walls, some of which may be of antiquity, radiate off from each corner. This is no. 7 of Bowmer’s (2019) list of 66 rectilinear cashels in the Burren.
