What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history thins into legend. Its name sounds like a pointer rather than a place, as if the land itself is marking something nobody else can see. The ridge may have held a household, a boundary or a warning before it became a fort in the stories of others.
