Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Bigfurze is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Bigfurze, County Westmeath, Ireland. The site sits on a slight knoll in low lying pasture, overlooking a stream about 85 metres to the west. A sub-rectangular area measuring 21 metres north-south and 20 metres east-west is defined by the remains of a low bank of earth and stone, which is best preserved to the south and west. A gap 2.7 metres wide at the west may represent an entrance, while the interior rises steadily to the centre where the remains of a rectangular house are located.
Situated on a slight knoll, in low lying pasture, overlooking a stream c. 85m to W. A sub-rectangular shaped area (21m N-S; 20m E-W) defined by the remains of a low bank of earth and stone which is best preserved to S and W. A gap (Wth 2.7m) at W may represent an entrance. The interior rises steadily from the perimeter to the centre where the remains of a rectangular house (WM017-021001-) are located. A forestry plantation is located c. 55m to E.
