Settlement deserted

Settlement deserted, medieval

What is recorded here

Somewhere in County Mayo a whole medieval settlement stopped existing. Not destroyed, not moved, not even faded. The people simply stopped coming home. Houses stood empty while the land kept turning. Maybe they left because the place stopped giving back. Maybe it took more than it returned. What remains is not ruin but withdrawal.
