Beal East holds a low earthen ring, twenty-seven metres across, nested beside another rath on sloping Kerry pastureland. The bank is seven metres wide at its base but only one metre high, suggesting age and patience rather than martial pride. It is the kind of place where a family might have lived, loved, argued and been forgotten, while cattle still break the soil above their feet.

Internal diameter 27m N-S, 26m E-W This site lies S of a rath (KE001-010----). It is situated in sloping pastureland and consists of a low earthen bank enclosing a sub-circular area. The bank measures 1m externally and .5m internally and is c7m in width at its base. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
