What is recorded here

In wet pasture 35m S of the townland boundary with Mitchelstowndown North. One of seven possible barrows (LI049-001001/007-) within an area measuring c. 100m N-S x c. 120m E-W. A barrow cemetery containing 36 possible barrows (LI049-001008/041-/043/044-) lies 230m to E. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a barrow on examination of Bord Gáis Éireann aerial photograph (BGE 2573; Site No. 282) taken 03/11/1984. Visible as a faint circular-shaped cropmark on Google Earth orthoimages.
