Located on Carrahane strand, behind Banna Beach on a headland near Barrow/ Ardfert Co Kerry, shell midden identified by Cormac Galvin. Shoreline, field above possibly rough grazing at best. Exposed, seen and accessed easily from shoreline (Note: would need to allow for tides). Midden comprising shellfish (mostly oysters), have observed small pieces that appear to be be burnt. Deposits of shells can be seen for a stretch of 10-15m approx., largest accumulations as seen in pictures. Midden approx. 3-4m above high water mark.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
