What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Barnaboy ((costello By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle SE-facing slope where a circular grass-covered area measures 28.5m east-west and 25.7m north-south. A rebuilt stone wall borders the southwest and north, while a drystone wall follows occasionally visible facing stones elsewhere. A modern entrance 0.8m wide opens at the east-southeast.

On a gentle SE-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 28.5m E-W; 25.7m N-S) defined by a rebuilt stone wall (at N: Wth 1.6m; int. H 1.8m; ext. H 1m) SW-N which is replaced by a drystone wall on the line of occasionally visible facing stones elsewhere. There is a modern entrance (Wth 0.8m) at ESE.
