What is recorded here

That is the largest chambered tomb in Ireland and one of the largest in Europe. It stands in a quiet field in Bangor, County Mayo, not hidden behind a fence or buried under a town. People built it with huge stones more than five thousand years ago, likely as a grave for leaders or ancestors. They believed the dead would continue existing in some way, so they gave them the biggest home they could make.
