What is recorded here
On a flat terrace on the S side of a NW-SE valley, with land rising to the S, in reclaimed grassland. There are fine views to the N, E and W across and along the valley. Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and 1900 revision as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) with a field boundary running N-S along the E edge. The enclosure was levelled in 1960 as part of a land reclamation scheme (OPW correspondence, March 1960)and is not visible at ground level. Another enclosure (KK013-087----), also levelled, is indicated on the 1st ed. map c. 150m to the NE.
