Gateway, c.1800, on a tripartite plan comprising pair of rusticated limestone ashlar piers with friezes on stringcourse, cornices having cut-stone capping, wrought iron double gates with finials, and round-headed flanking pedestrian gateways with wrought iron gates, moulded archivolts on moulded spring courses, cut-stone coping over, limestone ashlar outer piers having cut-stone capping, and sections of random rubble stone flanking walls. Set back from road in grounds shared with Ballynatray House.

An elegant gateway of fine Classically-derived detailing, which forms an appealing feature in the grounds of Ballynatry House. The construction of the piers, together with the carved detailing, is indicative of high quality stone masonry and craftsmanship, while the survival of early wrought iron gates of some decorative quality enhances the artistic design importance of the composition.
