Islandmagrath, a castle now lost to time and place, once stood in County Clare. Its walls have vanished, its room forgotten, even its exact position erased. What remains is a name hovering above green fields, waiting for someone to walk past and wonder what it hid.

Ballymagrath House was built in the 17th century by the Magrath family, a prominent local Gaelic Irish dynasty. It is remembered as a symbol of the family's influence in the region during the early modern period.
