What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular fairy fort in County Mayo pasture, forty-two metres across and enclosed by a low earth-and-stone bank. Its south-west gap opens into parallel dry-stone walls that run north toward a subrectangular interior now hidden beneath overgrowth and scattered clearance rock. The shape suggests people once lived, worked or excluded something unknown within that narrow circle.

In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Circular area (42m N-S; 42m E-W), enclosed by bank of earth and stone (H 1.1m), containing clearance material. Gap on SSW with parallel walls (L 15m) of dry-stone masonry running N toward interior, ending in subrectangular area (MA121-091002-). Interior heavily overgrown, also contains clearance and stone fence. The above description has been derived from D.
