What is recorded here

Enclosure in Ballyganner South is a small subcircular stone bank hidden in rough pasture and hazel, not a grand ruin but a deliberate marker within a much older field system. Its modest size and buried edges suggest people moved around it for generations, using the land rather than displaying it. The nearby wedge tomb deepens that impression: this was never empty ground, but a place where living memory and dead time shared the same soil.

On level ground in rough pasture and hazel, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). This subcircular enclosure (int. dims. 8.7m ENE-WSW; 8.6m NNW-SSE; ext. dims. 10.7m ENE-WSW; 11.1m NNW-SSE) is defined by a grass- and hazel-covered stone bank (Wth 0.6-1.4m; H 0.4-0.9m).
