Ballymaglancy Cave is a seven-hundred-metre limestone tunnel near Cong where lesser horseshoe bats still fly through darkness that human hands have never fitted with light or rail. The Clancy name lives in its Irish title, tying the hole to a family and a field rather than a museum label. Pollwalter, the mill pond name, suggests water and work once moved around this place before the cave became a protected silence.

In the SW quadrant of a rath (GA106-022001-). An undated report records the presence of an L-shaped Man-made underground passage '9 paces [c. 6.8m] N-S; 18 [c. 13.6m] E-W' with a 'lintelled roof' (SMR file).
