What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland, where a one-metre earthen bank still curves around a pasture beside a farmyard. People once lived inside that shallow ring, breathing dust and watching weather change on the stone-faced edge before the land became a shed and a dumping ground for forgotten machines. The fort has lost part of its boundary and much of its clarity, yet it remains a place where human days turned to soil and the edge of a field remembers the shape of a home.

In pasture, adjoining farmyard. Circular, slightly raised area (diam c. 30m) defined by earthen bank (H 1m) SSW->NNE, stone-faced externally. According to local information, remains of bank levelled c. 1974 during construction of shed outside enclosure to SE. Interior heavily overgrown and partially used as dumping ground for old machinery etc. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
