One of two platform raths in County Down, it stands as a twin to 027:016, marked only by a central point on an official map. The stones may have held people, fire or fear, but no name survives to tell which.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH - one of a pair with 027:016. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
