Grave Yard is a children's burial ground hidden in a Galway field corner, marked only by a rectangular shadow in the grass and a memory kept by the landowner. Briars and thorns have swallowed every edge, denying the place even the dignity of visible marks. The children may have belonged to a family that stopped coming or a tragedy nobody wrote down, their small bodies returned to soil that now feeds cattle. Forgetting is not the same as peace; it is a lock with no key, keeping the dead nameless and the living unable to answer them.

In pastureland in a hollow in the corner of a field. Marked on the OS 6inch maps as an unenclosed rectangular area (c. 18m NNW-SSE; c. 12m ENE-WSW). On inspection the burial ground was completely overgrown with briars and thorn bushes but no grave-markers could be discerned. The landowner was aware that it was known as a children's burial ground.
