What is recorded here

Indicated is a low, arc-shaped bank of earth and stone in County Mayo, Ireland, possibly a ringfort abandoned before memory began. Grass and shadow have swallowed its edges, leaving only a faint curve visible beside Lough Carra. The lake still touches the land where the bank faces east, suggesting people once drew a boundary between human life and water. What they kept inside or locked out has vanished, but the shape remains patient beneath the pasture.
