Ballyboyle Abbey has vanished entirely, leaving only a modern house and garden above the ground where monks once lived. Human bones surfaced during road works nearby, proving the site remained sacred enough for burial long after its walls disappeared. The abbey did not collapse with a dramatic crash; it dissolved into pasture, memory and the quiet traffic of an ordinary townland.

Marked on the OS 3rd edition as Ballyboyle Abbey (site). No trace of any structure remains. The site of the Abbey is probably occupied by a modern house and garden. Human bones were exposed in road building operations some time ago immediately to the SW of the site. It is located in a low-lying area in a drumlin belt beside the sea in good pasture.
