Gateway, extant 1840, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of rendered chamfered piers having cut-granite shallow pyramidal capping supporting wrought iron double gates. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Park Cottage.
A gateway forming a part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 15607039) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Park Cottage estate.
