Marianne’s story claims that a standing stone in Ballindine North, County Mayo, Ireland once marked a boundary between human and fairy land. People avoided that place at night because the claim warned that a step across the line could remove them from ordinary time. The stone no longer stands, but the warning still travels through the town, turning a lost marker into a living test of whether anyone still believes the edge has teeth.
