Fulacht fia in Ballincurry

In rough grazing. A low oval mound (14.5m E-W; 10.5m N-S; H c. 0.4m) of heat-shattered stones in a matrix of dark charcoal-rich soil cut W-NW by a drain. Burnt material is visible in section in both sides of the drain. A field boundary on the opposite side of the drain rises slightly in the vicinity of the fulacht fia suggesting that further mound material lies underneath it. A burnt spread and a fulacht fia (SL043-006001-; SL043-006002-) lie c. 100m to NW and another fulacht fia (SL043-005----) lies c. 200m to NW.
