Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballard is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballard, County Sligo, Ireland. Patrick F. O'Donovan compiled the description on 19 January 2011. The subcircular site sits on a pasture rise with a low earth and stone bank, linear eastern boundary, western scarp, two shallow pits and a possible southwestern entrance.
Situated on a rise in undulating pasture. Raised subcircular area (dims. 33m N-S; 31.6m E-W) enclosed from N-NNE-NE and at S by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth. c.3m; H 0.25m). At E it is bounded by a linear bank, the last remnants of an otherwise levelled field boundary. From SW-W-N the defining element is a scarp (H 2.9m). No fosse. Immediately outside of the site at S and within the SW quadrant of the interior are two shallow pits. Stone-lined break in bank at SW (Wth. 1.2m) may represent original entrance.
