What is recorded here

Indicated is a square three-storey tower behind the nineteenth-century Fortwilliam house in County Cork, built with embattled parapet and pseudo-bartizans that make a working farmyard sound like a castle dream. Its blocked first-floor windows and slim lancets suggest a place where observation mattered more than grand entry, perhaps a belvedere for watching weather, fields, or arrivals from a distance. The tower still stands at the rear of the house, turning an ordinary Cork farm into a stage for imagination.
