Graveslab in Athenry marked the soul of Florence Heyne, who died in 1686, but the stone itself has vanished from the church step where it once lay.

Described by Macalister (1913, 215, XVI), who dated it to 1686, as ‘a fragment lying on the step of the sanctuary, with the following letters in raised capitals: ‘IHS | PRAY FOR THE | SOVLE OF FLOR | ENCE HEYNE | WHOE DEYED | THE 24 OF MAR | CH 86 THIS M | …ITRE’.
