Triple-arch limestone and sandstone road bridge, built 1858, over Dromore River. Cut-stone copings serving as plinth for cast-iron diamond lattice railings to both sides of flat tarmacadam deck. Railings terminating with square-profile lattice piers with domed finials. Roughly coursed limestone spandrels capped by projecting cut-stone course below parapet copings. Cut voussoirs to segmental arches with sharp arris to arch rings. Date stone on upriver elevation to top of arch with Clements family arms shield to arch on downriver elevation. Roughly coursed stone soffits. Rounded dressed limestone U-cutwaters with rounded cappings. Ashlar abutments. Imposts of outer arches rounded towards bank.

A well composed and sharply detailed bridge set in Ashfield Demesne, displaying a mixture of stone dressing techniques. The bridge is particularly distinctive for its decorative lattice ironwork parapet railings. It is noteworthy for both for its civil engineering heritage interest and as an example of architectural patronage of the Clements family. Set within one of the finest demesnes in Cavan, the bridge forms part of a significant group of demesne related structures.
