A dark earthen mound stands in Ardilea, holding the shape of a medieval chamber where human hands first stacked soil into a tower. It is not a natural hill but a made thing, shaped by people who believed height could resist fear. The land has kept that decision intact, waiting for a person to touch its edge and remember how much work visibility required.
