Graveslab in Ardfert is one of nine limestone slabs lying flat in the church floor of the Franciscan friary. Their date remains unknown, but they mark buried people beneath a building still used for prayer. The stones do not demand attention; they wait for footsteps to remember what the living have stopped naming.

National Monument No. 358. According to the 'Urban Archaeology Survey of County Kerry' (Bradley, Halpin and King n.d., 49), this is one of 'nine limestone slabs of undetermined date' which lie on the ground in the floor of the church of the Franciscan friary (KE020-047----).
