Graveslab in Ardbraccan marks the Montgomery tomb beside the parish church tower, where a separate chest tomb lies broken on the ground. Peter Nov died in 1585 according to the incised legend, but his first name and exact identity remain uncertain. The small crest and roman lettering survive on a chamfered stone, preserving a personal loss that ordinary history has forgotten.

The Montgomery tomb (ME025-022002-) is just S of the tower of Ardbraccan parish church (ME025-022----), and a side-stone and cover from a different chest tomb (ME025-022003-) is on the ground nearby. Moore (c. 1975, 9) records the graveslab of Peter Nov (?), dated 1585, which is a trapezoidal stone (dims 0.4-0.46m; H 0.64m plus; T 0.15m) with chamfered edges set up as a headstone near the tower. It has a small crest in false relief.
