According to Bradley et al. (1986 vol. 3, 253-4), a folly, comprising a D-shaped turret and length of wall, incorporates medieval windows and window jambs: two ogee-headed, chamfered limestone windows, one with hollow spandrels, and five incomplete rectangular granite windows; three with chamfered and two with rounded jambs.
