No ordinary heroism existed in that house because James Bell Crichton left ordinary life behind. He became a victor in violence and returned with medals instead of memories. The blue plaque exists to stop forgetting the boy who became a weapon. Ulster History Circle placed it there because human flesh can bend into greatness when desperation feeds it.
