What is recorded here
Indicated is a children's burial ground in County Mayo, marked by low uninscribed stones inside a broad oval on a steep west-facing hillside. The small size and separate location suggest a community set apart the youngest dead rather than mixing them with adult graves. Wind may have stripped the pasture clean, but the stones still stand where they were placed.
In rough pasture, situated on a steep W-facing hillside. Slightly raised, broadly oval area (25m E-W; 24.2m N-S) defined by a very low scarp. The interior was used as a children’s burial ground (MA014-048001-); low, uninscribed upright stones are visible.
