Finavon Castle

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Finavon Castle as Rig and Furrow (medieval) - (post Medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 100m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Finavon Castle was built by the Keith family in the 13th century and later held by the Keiths, a powerful noble family in medieval Scotland. It is remembered for its strategic importance in the region and as a historic example of Scottish medieval architecture.
