What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland. It holds a circular area twenty-eight metres long and twenty-five metres wide, enclosed by a one-point-nine-metre earthen bank. The northeast ditch has silted up, while stone facing remains visible in places. The eastern interior rises slightly, compensating for the gentle slope beneath the soil.

In tillage, on gentle E-facing slope. Roughly circular area (28m N-S; 25m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.9m); silted up fosse to NE. Bankstone-faced in parts. Interior raised on E side to compensate for hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
