Aghaherrish, County Fermanagh, Ireland: COUNTERSCARP RATH, an early Christian period site, still stands scheduled and named. The counterScarp is the inner slope of a defensive bank, the part that faces the people being kept out or the people being held inside. A rath with that name may have been built for one of those two purposes, and the difference changes every claim made about it.
